The Use of Concept Cartoons in Overcoming The Misconception in Electricity Concepts

Electricity is a very important concept in learning Physics. Mastering this can make Physics meaningful and relatable to real life problems. However, literature indicates that students have poor conceptual understanding of concepts about electricity. The current research aims improve Form 5 (aged 17 years) students’ direct circuits by using Concept Cartoons Worksheets. are A single-group pre-test/post-test investigation was carried out seven Worksheets designed address common misconceptions with total 30 physics student participants. were modified based on the Inventory Test “Determining Interpreting Resistive Electric Circuit Concepts (DIRECT). used correct increase their level understanding. data collected analysed quantitatively obtain percentages, means, t-test values. descriptive statistics showed an student’s after use Cartoons. analysis reported difference significant. results show Malaysian do electricity concepts. effective overcome electrical concepts, specifically toward circuits. not only overcoming among students, they also refreshing unique because cartoons presented while relating abstract.
